Place de l'Europe
Description
Conference in partnership with Université de Savoie Mont-Blanc and Amphis pour tous. Presented by Hervé Boileau, research professor, LOCIE, at Polytech Annecy-Chambéry For a long time, the source of energy was muscular, human or animal. Then other energies were harnessed: the wind, the flow of rivers. Then came fire, and its vector, steam. Far from freeing us, the steam engine, oil and the "electricity fairy" have made us "addicted" to cheap energy. Oil crises only briefly cured us of our bulimia, and we quickly relapsed. With the help of the notion of the energy slave, we can all measure the extent of our addiction, and the great difficulty of the road to sobriety.
Are we ready to detox? Are we ready for sobriety?
